SteveZ DuckZ: The 50‑State Rubber Duck Challenge — Completed Before 50!

On August 6, 2025 — Steve’s 49th birthday — SteveZ DuckZ launched a quirky, heartfelt, cross‑country mission:

Collect at least one rubber duck from every single U.S. state before turning 50.

The First Duck: California Leads the Flock

Just a couple months into the journey, on October 21, 2025, the very first duck arrived.

It came from California, sent by the awesome crew at Crusing Quackers — the spark that kicked off a wave of support from coast to coast.

A Nation of Helpers

As the challenge gained momentum, people from all over the country stepped in to help. It wasn’t just family and friends and coworkers, but you all the community, the nation.

They shared the mission, spread the word, rallied friends, and represented their states with pride.

Some sent ducks.

Some sent ducks and goodies.

One person an author also sent a book about rubber ducks. This was state 46, Alabama. “Tales from the Ducksonian: The VIPs Are Coming” by Patty Pendley (ISBN 9798255399437).

Some told others to join in.
Every single one played a part.

This was all done by the help of everyone: friends, family, coworkers, people I don’t know, and of course, even businesses have helped.

And SteveZ DuckZ felt every bit of that support. Steve was very appreciated.

The Final State: Vermont Seals the Victory

On August 1, 2026, just five days before his 50th birthday, the final duck arrived —
State #50: Vermont. The Vermont one well, you have to watch the video to find out what happened. 

With that, the challenge was officially complete.
A full flock.
All 50 states represented.
A dream finished before the birthday deadline.
